Artegon marketplace has decided to close its doors after a two year experiment, the owners have decided to sell the prime real estate, located on International Drive. Bass Pro and the Cinema will remain.
The two year experiment started in November 2014 and had a lot of niche artisan market stalls that attracted locals as well as tourists, the small shops offered items such as artwork, furniture, clothing and more.
The real estate was purchased for $25million and that has been recouped and more, by selling properties to Bass pro and Cinemark theaters for $30 million.
What will happen next for this prime real estate is unknow but the location is ripe for more tourist attractions, hotels or apartments.
