Many families visit the Florida Gulf each year and stay in hotels or Florida Gulf condo's and villas. Whether they are staying for 2 to 3 days or taking a week or two on vacation all of them have one thing on their mind - visiting the white sandy beaches of the Florida Gulf.  In this article we will cover some of the best beaches in Florida and try to supply some tips for each of them.

Anclote Island, Fl.

Anclote Key is one of four islands that make up the Anclote Key Preserve State Park. This beach is a 4 mile stretch of sandy beach with shallow waters ideal for swimming, and a popular location for those who wish to study local nature with lots of birdlife and marine sands. Access is via a ferry which leaves from Tarpon Springs - make sure to bring your supplies such as water and food.

Clearwater Beach, Fl.

One of the more well-known beaches on the Florida Gulf, Clearwater has beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue inviting waters. It's also home to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium whose most famous guest is the movie star Winter the Dolphin from "Dolphins Tale".  Clearwater has some fantastic restaurants and many other attractions such as Pier 60 where you can see the most amazing sunsets and nightly art and craft fairs with entertainment from 18:00 to 21:00.  If music is your thing, in October there is the Clearwater Jazz festival which runs for 4 days.

Indian Rocks Beach, Fl.
